Drugs, cash and paraphernalia worth more than €900,000 have been seized following raids in Dublin over the weekend.

Two men have since been charged and appeared in court on Monday in connection with the seizures.

On Saturday, a vehicle in Tallaght was stopped and searched by gardaí attached to the Tallaght Serious Crime Unit.

During the search, cannabis herb and 800 euros in cash were seized.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Dublin police station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

During the surveillance raids, two premises were searched under warrant in Tallaght and Lucan.

Cannabis herb, cannabis resin and cannabis plants worth approximately €900,000 were seized, as well as drug paraphernalia.

During subsequent searches, a man in his 40s was arrested and detained at a Dublin police station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

All medicines are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
