DYNAMOS fans, affected by the slow start to the season and the apparent breakdown of relations with coach GĂ©nesis Mangombe, brought banners to Rufaro and organized protests against the coach despite the victory over new boys Arenel Movers.

Mangombe came face to face with the disadvantages of coaching the Harare giants as his supporters chanted derogatory songs and called for his dismissal during and after the match.

The fact that Dynamos won for the first time after a four-game winless streak did not stop angry fans from blocking the main exit, demanding the coach’s dismissal.

Captain Emmanuel Jalai managed to gain the fans’ loyalty for a moment with a fortuitous goal in the 15th minute, while Namibian striker Sadney Uri-Khob added to the scoreboard with his first goal in DeMbare colors about seven minutes later.

Arenel Movers, however, gave the giants a scare after Adonice Ngwenya, a substitute late in the second half, headed in from close range in the 89th minute from a Gray Kufandada cross.

Nyoni had barely been on the field for two minutes after replacing Brian Jaravaza.

Dynamos had to defend their lives to get the maximum points.

But Glamor Boys fans were not satisfied. They expressed their disenchantment with coach Mangombe, whose leaked audio criticizing fans is believed to have sparked the scathing reaction.
