SOS to help homeless Pumula family -The Southern Eye

The BULAWAYO Fire Department has revealed plans to help a Pumula South family left homeless after a fire on Sunday.

The family lost assets from their home during the inferno.

Acting Fire Chief Mahlangano Moyo said the department had engaged various stakeholders to assist the family.

“Plan International and Dan Church Aid are assisting with clothing items, while the Civil Protection Department of the Ministry of Local Government is working on modalities to provide roofing sheets,” Moyo said.

Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association administration secretary Thembelani Dube praised the firefighters.

“The spirit of ubuntu that prevails among residents, demonstrated by the donations given to the family, is encouraging,” Dube said.
